The Hollywood Racks is probably gonna be the easiest and most affordable way to have a four-bike platform rack. Usually, at this price point, you would get a hanging-style rack. This gives you the stability and the sturdiness of a platform rack, plus you have some other different features that makes it easier for bikes in different shapes and sizes. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 GMC Canyon- Video
Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we are looking at the Kuat Trouper 2.0 two bike rack here on our 2021 GMC Canyon Denali. Now, the Kuat Trouper is one of my favorites because of how it covers pretty much everything you're looking for when it comes to carrying around your bikes. Now, this isn't extra heavy in terms of weight capacity but if you just have an average bike, you're gonna have all the premium features you will need or want. One of the features it has is that it can tilt away to do so you pull on this lever and then this drops down to a tilt and you'll want to do this, let's say if you wanna access your hatch or lower your tailgate. Now, what I did notice on our truck here is that I couldn't lower the tailgate all the way. more

Now, the Kuat Transfer is an awesome bike rack when it comes to mounting and dismounting your bike because of its unique goalpost design. It is also really versatile, being able to carry a bunch of different bikes of different shapes and sizes, and it has those nice features you would expect in a Kuat bike rack. One of those features is that it can tilt away. And to do so, what I like to do is actually put our clamp all the way to the other side. more

Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2015 GMC Canyon we're going to be doing the test fit of the Yakima FullTilt. This is going to be your hanging-style 4-bike rack, part number Y02462. Again, that's Y02462. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our cradle arms so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. Note that this rack does come with your 1-1/4" shank as well as your 2" adapter. Just make sure that when you plug into your class one receiver, that you only carry up to two bikes, and that is per your receiver's specifications. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2015 GMC Canyon we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Swing, part number TH9031XT. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our platform so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with your 2" shank for your 2" receivers only, and will have an anti-rattle bolt to make it so it's nice and secure for you, your bikes, and for the ride. Let's go ahead and start off with a few measurements. Our closest distance will be first. That's going to be from the backside here at the t-handle to the backside of the bumper at about 5-1/2". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the backside of the rack at about 37". more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 GMC Canyon th9029xt- Video
Today on our today 2015 GMC Canyon we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex. This is going to be your hanging style 4-bike rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see, weve already got our bike up here on our platform, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and hanging on the back of your vehicle. It is going to come with your 1-/4" shank as well as a 2" adapters, so it will fit your class 1, 2 and 3 receivers. Just keep in mind that if youre going to be hauling it with your class 1 receivers that youll only be able to carry up to 2 bikes per your hitch's specifications. It is going to also have an anti-rattle bolt, which is going to help to secure it from rattling, swaying and wobbling while youre driving. Lets start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be from the front flange on the back of the rack here to the backside of the bumper, at about 3'. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Yakima Swing Daddy 4 bike hitch mounted bike rack part #: y02422. To begin our test fit well install the bike rack shank into the hitch, well line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, we can go ahead and install the safety pin on the other side securing our bike rack to the vehicle. And with our bike rack secured well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Now our bike rack has 19 inches of ground clearance and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. Well now go ahead and load our bike. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit well simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at this bike rack is 16-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. Well now go ahead and tilt our bike rack down to the horizontal position and this bike rack will add an additional 35 inches of overall length to your vehicle. When attempting to open the tail gate it does come in contact with the bike rack before the tail gate reaches its full opened position. more

To begin our test fit well simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, well install our locking device on the other side securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9029. A quick note on this bike rack, it can be used in both 1-1/4 inch and 2-inch hitches, however when using with a Class I hitch, you are limited to two bikes. Now were read y to start our test fit. To begin, well insert the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, insert and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With it tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 16-1/2 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 6 inches. more

Thule Apex 4 Swing Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing Forward bike carrier part #: th9027. To begin our test fit well install our bike rack shank into the hitch making sure that the integrated locking hitch pin is pulled out. With the shank into the hitch well push the integrated locking hitch pin in and slide it in until the pin locks in place. After giving it a slight tug well turn our anti-rattle knob securing our bike rack to the vehicle. At this point we can give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 16 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the end of the vehicle is 6 inches. more

Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4 bike carrier for both inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches part #: s63410. Our vehicles equipped with a 2 inch hitch, so with our adaptor plate in were ready to fit it to the vehicle. Well simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. Well then put the clip in on the other side of the bolt securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at this bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the vehicle is 11 inches. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 bike carrier, part #: th9025. A quick note about this bike rack is it can be used in both an inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches, however if youre using it with a class 1 hitch you are limited to 2 bikes. To begin our test fit, well slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, well pull the integrated locking hitch pin and as we slide the shank into the hitch the pin will snap into place into the hitch pinhole. Then after snugging that up well go to our anti-rattle knob and tighten it down, securing our bike rack to the vehicle. And now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 17 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Sport Rack 2 bike hitch mounted bike rack part #: a30901. A quick not about this bike rack, it can be used both with inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches. Now, our vehicles equipped with a 2 inch hitch so using the included spacer block were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up our hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we can give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 10 inches. more

To begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack carrier shank into our hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 16 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 8 inches. Well now go ahead and fold the mast of the bike rack down and open our tail gate. And as you can see, we can open our tail gate completely with this bike rack. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting part #: ps63134, the Pro Series, Q-slot platform style bike carrier. To begin our test fit well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. We can then put our safety pin on the other side of our hitch pin which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle, and we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our bike rack has about 19 inches of ground clearance and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle theres approximately 10 inches. Well now go ahead and unfold the platform and see if we can open our tailgate. And as you can see, we can open our tailgate with this bike rack loaded. more

Yakima DoubleDown 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today we are going to show you how the Yakima double down bike rack; part number y02425 looks and fits on our 2012 GMC Canyon. Our 2012 Canyon came equipped with a factory installed 2 receiver hitch, so weve gone ahead and put the adapter sleeve on our double down to accommodate. Well simply slide the bike rack into the trailer hitch and well go ahead and install the provided threaded bolt that will not only secure the rack into the hitch, but also work as an anti-rattle device. You can see when the pin fully tightened down theres virtually no movement between the bike rack and the receiver hitch. With the bike rack now installed weve got 15-1/2 of clearance from the ground to the lowest point of our bike rack, and from the center of the tailgate to the upright bar, weve got 16 of clearance. The double down bike rack also comes with a trigger finger release button here, which allows our bike rack to fold away from the rear of the vehicle, and you can see with the rack folded down, we can fully lower our tailgate. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today we're going to show you how the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style Bike Carrier, product number TH990XT looks and fits on a 2012 GMC Canyon. Our 2012 Canyon came equipped with a factory installed 2-inch trailer receiver hitch, so we've already installed our 2-inch adapter sleeve onto our bike rack. To install the bike rack, simply slide it in the receiver hitch. Align the hole in the bike rack with the hole in the receiver and install the provided anti-rattle bolt. The anti-rattle bolt not only provides security for our bike rack but also takes up a majority of the rattle and sway from the bike rack once it's installed in the hitch. We do need to tighten this bolt using a 3/4-inch wrench. more
